This adapter is useful for taking a 3-prong locking outlet and turning it into a standard household outlet that accepts either a 15A or 20A straight blade plug. The plug has a L5-30 configuration that is commonly found on most portable generators and marine connections. This plug adapter is a fully-molded unit for long lasting durability and is also weather resistant.

This generator pigtail adapter cord plugs into a L5-30 outlet commonly found on generators and allows devices with a L14-20 plug to receive power. It splits the single 125V hot wire from the L5-30 to the two hot wires needed for the L14-20 connection.
