This Y-adapter has a 50A straight blade NEMA 14-50 plug for plugging into a portable generator, outlet at a RV campground, EV charging station, and some industrial type outlets. It splits that connection into two NEMA 14-30 outlets, which are common in newer homes for dryers and ranges rated for 30A.
