The box is mounted outside the home / business, and wires directly to a transfer switch / box. When you need emergency power, just connect your generator cord to the inlet box and flip the switch to the transfer unit.
Cordset Features:
•The power cord features a flexible weather resistant jacket to prevent damage when used over an extended period of time.
•Both the plug and connector on the power cord come with LED power indicators and screw-threaded locking rings to ensure a secure connection.
•Both ends feature a molded plug and connector to waterproof the cord set.
•A protective cap on the connector end enables it to be covered when not in use.
•The oil resistant jacket is yellow, but is wrapped in an orange braided plastic to improve grip and visibility of the cord.
•The L14-30 generator extension cord has a threaded ring on both the male plug and female connector to form a weather tight seal at the connection.
